As in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, (B)to obey is better than sacrifice,

And bow myself before the High God?
Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings,
With calves a year old?

Christ’s Death Fulfills God’s Will(A)

Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:

(B)“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.’ ”

Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, [a]O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second.

First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”(E)—though they were offered in accordance with the law. Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.”(F) He sets aside the first to establish the second.
