10 Then ^(A)Samuel took the flask of oil, poured it on his head, ^(B)kissed him and said, “Has not ^(C)the Lord anointed you a ruler over ^(D)His inheritance?

⁶ So he said to his men, “^(A)Far be it from me because of the Lord that I should do this thing to my lord, the Lord’s anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, since he is the Lord’s anointed.”

¹⁴ Then David said to him, “How is it you were not afraid ^(A)to stretch out your hand to destroy the Lord’s anointed?”
