1 Peter 4:6-8
New American Standard Bible
6 For (A)the gospel has for this purpose been [a]preached even to those who are dead, that though they are judged in the flesh as people, they may live in the spirit according to the will of God.
7 (B)The end of all things [b]is near; therefore, (C)be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of [c]prayer. 8 Above all, (D)keep fervent in your love for one another, because (E)love covers a multitude of sins.

New International Version
6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead,(A) so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.
7 The end of all things is near.(B) Therefore be alert and of sober mind(C) so that you may pray. 8 Above all, love each other deeply,(D) because love covers over a multitude of sins.(E)
