1 Peter 2:7-8

⁷Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who ^[a]are disobedient,

^(A)“The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone,”

⁸and

^(B)“A stone of stumbling
And a rock of offense.”

^(C)They stumble, being disobedient to the word, ^(D)to which they also were appointed.

“A stone that causes people to stumble
