¹⁶because it is written, Be ye holy, for *I* am holy.

¹⁷And if ye invoke as Father him who, without regard of persons, judges according to the work of each, pass your time of sojourn in fear,

New International Version

¹⁶for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”^[a]^(A)

¹⁷Since you call on a Father^(B) who judges each person’s work^(C) impartially,^(D) live out your time as foreigners^(E) here in reverent fear.^(F)
