¹² When ^(A)he was in distress, he appeased the Lord his God and ^(B)humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. ¹³ When he prayed to Him, ^(C)He was moved by him and heard his pleading, and brought him back to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh ^(D)knew that the Lord alone is God.

^3 (A)Perhaps they will listen and everyone will turn from his evil way, and ^(B)I will relent of the disaster which I am planning to inflict on them because of the evil of their deeds.’

^3 (A)Perhaps the house of Judah will listen to all the disaster which I plan to carry out against them, so that every person will ^(B)turn from his evil way; then I will ^(C)forgive their wrongdoing and their sin.”
