¹⁴ If you walk in My ways and keep My statutes and commands just as your father David did, I will give you a long life.”^(A)

³³ For the bread of God is the One who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

³⁵ “I am^(A) the bread of life,” Jesus told them. “No one who comes to Me^(B) will ever be hungry,^(C) and no one who believes in Me^(D) will ever be thirsty^(E) again.

³⁸ For I have come down from heaven,^(A) not to do My will, but the will of Him^(B) who sent Me. ³⁹ This is the will of Him who sent Me: that I should lose none of those He has given Me but should raise^(C) them up on the last day. ⁴⁰ For this is the will of My Father:^(D) that everyone who sees the Son^(E) and believes in Him may have eternal life, and I will raise^(F) him up on the last day.”

⁴⁷ “I assure you: Anyone who believes^[a] has eternal life. ⁴⁸ I am the bread of life. ⁴⁹ Your fathers ate the manna^(A) in the wilderness,^(B) and they died. ⁵⁰ This is the bread that comes down from heaven so that anyone may eat of it and not die.^{(C) 51} I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will live^(D) forever.^(E) The bread that I will give for the life^(F) of the world is My flesh.”^(G)

¹⁰ A thief comes only to steal^(A) and to kill and to destroy.^(B) I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.

²⁶ Everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die—ever.^(A) Do you believe this?”

⁵⁵ You’ve never known Him, but I know Him. If I were to say I don’t know Him,^(A) I would be a liar like you. But I do know Him,^(B) and I keep His word.
