⁴ You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than ^(A)he who is in the world.

^20 (A)For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. ²¹ Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and ^(B)has anointed us is God, ²² who ^(C)also has sealed us and ^(D)given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

¹³ In Him you also trusted, after you heard ^(A)the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, ^(B)you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, ^14 (C)who^[a] is the ^[b]guarantee of our inheritance ^(D)until the redemption of ^(E)the purchased possession, ^(F)to the praise of His glory.

³⁰ And ^(A)do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

⁵ Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also ^(A)has given us the Spirit as ^[a]a guarantee.

⁶ So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. ⁷ For ^(B)we walk by faith, not by sight. ⁸ We are confident, yes, ^(C)well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

The Judgment Seat of Christ

⁹ Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. ^10 (D)For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, ^(E)that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

^27 (A)My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. ²⁸ And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. ^29 (B)My Father, ^(C)who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. ^30 (D)I and My Father are one.”

⁵ Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ^(A)“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

^6 (A)Be strong and of good courage, ^(B)do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, ^(C)He is the One who goes with you. ^(D)He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ^(A)“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. ^19 (B)Go ^[a]therefore and ^(C)make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ^20 (D)teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am ^(E)with you always, even to the end of the age.” ^[b]Amen.
