¹⁷ By this, ^(A)love is perfected with us, so that we may have ^(B)confidence in ^(C)the day of judgment; because ^(D)as He is, we also are in this world. ¹⁸ There is no fear in love, but ^(E)perfect love drives out fear, because fear ^[a]involves punishment, and the one who fears is not ^(F)perfected in love. ^19 (G)We love, because He first loved us.
