1 John 4:18-20
English Standard Version
18 There is no fear in love, but (A)perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not (B)been perfected in love. 19 (C)We love because he first loved us. 20 (D)If anyone says, “I love God,” and (E)hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot[a] love God (F)whom he has not seen.

18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear,(A) because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
19 We love because he first loved us.(B) 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister(C) is a liar.(D) For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen,(E) cannot love God, whom they have not seen.(F)
