The Children of God
28 And now, little children, abide in Him, that [a]when He appears, we may have (A)confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. 29 (B)If you know that He is righteous, you know that (C)everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.
The Command to Love
3 Behold (D)what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that (E)we should be called children of [b]God! Therefore the world does not know [c]us, (F)because it did not know Him.

3 See what great love(G) the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!(H) And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.(I)
