22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also. 24 Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is what he has promised us,[a] eternal life.
26 I write this to you about those who would deceive you; 27 but the anointing which you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that any one should teach you; as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie, just as it has taught you, abide in him.
Children of God
28 And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that every one who does right is born of him.

22 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son.(A) 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.(B)
24 As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning(C) remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.(D) 25 And this is what he promised us—eternal life.(E)
26 I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray.(F) 27 As for you, the anointing(G) you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things(H) and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.(I)
God’s Children and Sin
28 And now, dear children,(J) continue in him, so that when he appears(K) we may be confident(L) and unashamed before him at his coming.(M)
29 If you know that he is righteous,(N) you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.(O)
