1 Corinthians 8:7-9
New Matthew Bible
7 But not everyone has knowledge. For some still suppose that an idol really is something, and eat a thing as offered to the idol, and so their consciences, still being weak, are defiled.
8 Meat does not make us acceptable to God. We are neither the better if we eat, nor the worse if we do not. 9 But take heed that your liberty does not cause the weak to fall.

1 Corinthians 8:7-9
New International Version
7 But not everyone possesses this knowledge.(A) Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak,(B) it is defiled. 8 But food does not bring us near to God;(C) we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.
9 Be careful, however, that the exercise of your rights does not become a stumbling block(D) to the weak.(E)
