7 On the contrary, we speak God’s hidden wisdom in a mystery, a wisdom God predestined(A) before the ages for our glory.(B) 8 None of the rulers of this age knew this wisdom, for if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.(C) 9 But as it is written:
What eye did not see and ear did not hear,
and what never entered the human mind—
God prepared this for those who love Him.(D)[a]
10 Now God has revealed these things to us by the Spirit, for the Spirit searches everything,(E) even the depths of God.(F) 11 For who among men knows the thoughts[b] of a man except the spirit(G) of the man that is in him? In the same way, no one knows(H) the thoughts[c] of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who comes from God, so that we may understand what has been freely given to us by God. 13 We also speak these things, not in words(I) taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people.[d]

7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery(A) that has been hidden(B) and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age(C) understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.(D) 9 However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”[a]—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—(E)
10 these are the things God has revealed(F) to us by his Spirit.(G)
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts(H) except their own spirit(I) within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit(J) of the world,(K) but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom(L) but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.[b]

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
