⁹ Or do you not know that the unrighteous^[a] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: ^(A)neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,^{[b] 10} nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And ^(B)such were some of you. But ^(C)you were washed, ^(D)you were sanctified, ^(E)you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Christ the Wisdom and Power of God

¹⁸ For the word of the cross is ^(A)folly to ^(B)those who are perishing, but to us ^(C)who are being saved it is ^(D)the power of God.

¹⁵ For we are the aroma of Christ to God among ^(A)those who are being saved and among ^(B)those who are perishing,

³ And even ^(A)if our gospel is veiled, ^(B)it is veiled to ^(C)those who are perishing.

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

¹⁶ For ^(A)I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is ^(B)the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew ^(C)first and also to ^(D)the Greek. ¹⁷ For in it ^(E)the righteousness of God is revealed ^(F)from faith for faith,^{[a] (G)}as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”^[b]

³ But I am afraid that ^(A)as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts ^(B)will be led astray from a ^(C)sincere and ^(D)pure devotion to Christ. ⁴ For if someone comes and ^(E)proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept ^(F)a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. ⁵ Indeed, I consider that ^(G)I am not in the least inferior to these super-apostles.

No Other Gospel

⁶ I am astonished that you are ^(A)so quickly deserting ^(B)him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to ^(C)a different gospel— ^7 (D)not that there is another one, but ^(E)there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. ⁸ But even if we or ^(F)an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, ^(G)let him be accursed. ⁹ As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, ^(H)let him be accursed.
