The Death of David
26 Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. 27 The (A)time that he reigned over Israel was forty years. He reigned seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem. 28 Then he died (B)at a good age, (C)full of days, riches, and honor. And Solomon his son reigned in his place.

26 David son of Jesse was king(B) over all Israel.(C) 27 He ruled over Israel forty years—seven in Hebron(D) and thirty-three in Jerusalem.(E) 28 He died(F) at a good old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth and honor. His son Solomon succeeded him as king.(G)
