Psalms 1–41

The Way of the Righteous and the End of the Ungodly

1 Blessed ^(A)is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ^[a]ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
^(B)Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
²But ^(C)his delight is in the law of the Lord,
^(D)And in His law he ^[b]meditates day and night.
³He shall be like a tree
^(E)Planted by the ^[c]rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall ^(F)prosper.

⁴The ungodly are not so,
But are ^(G)like the chaff which the wind drives away.
⁵Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

⁶For ^(H)the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Ephesians 2:12-22

Christ Our Peace

¹⁴For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, ¹⁵having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one ^(A)new man from the two, thus making peace, ¹⁶and that He might ^(B)reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby ^(C)putting to death the enmity. ¹⁷And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. ¹⁸For ^(D)through Him we both have access ^(E)by one Spirit to the Father.

Christ Our Cornerstone

¹⁹Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, ²⁰having been ^(F)built ^(G)on the foundation of the ^(H)apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being ^(I)the chief cornerstone, ²¹in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into ^(J)a holy temple in the Lord, ²²^(K)in whom you also are being built together for a ^(L)dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
