2 当 希 律 王 的 时 候 ， 耶 稣 生 在 犹 太 的 伯 利 恒 。 有 几 个 博 士 从 东 方 来 到 耶 路 撒 冷 ， 说 ：
2 那 生 下 来 作 犹 太 人 之 王 的 在 那 里 ？ 我 们 在 东 方 看 见 他 的 星 ， 特 来 拜 他 。
3 希 律 王 听 见 了 ， 就 心 里 不 安 ； 耶 路 撒 冷 合 城 的 人 也 都 不 安 。
4 他 就 召 齐 了 祭 司 长 和 民 间 的 文 士 ， 问 他 们 说 ： 基 督 当 生 在 何 处 ？
5 他 们 回 答 说 ： 在 犹 太 的 伯 利 恒 。 因 为 有 先 知 记 着 ， 说 ：
6 犹 大 地 的 伯 利 恒 阿 ， 你 在 犹 大 诸 城 中 并 不 是 最 小 的 ； 因 为 将 来 有 一 位 君 王 要 从 你 那 里 出 来 ， 牧 养 我 以 色 列 民 。
7 当 下 ， 希 律 暗 暗 的 召 了 博 士 来 ， 细 问 那 星 是 甚 麽 时 候 出 现 的 ，
8 就 差 他 们 往 伯 利 恒 去 ， 说 ： 你 们 去 仔 细 寻 访 那 小 孩 子 ， 寻 到 了 ， 就 来 报 信 ， 我 也 好 去 拜 他 。
9 他 们 听 见 王 的 话 就 去 了 。 在 东 方 所 看 见 的 那 星 忽 然 在 他 们 前 头 行 ， 直 行 到 小 孩 子 的 地 方 ， 就 在 上 头 停 住 了 。
10 他 们 看 见 那 星 ， 就 大 大 的 欢 喜 ；
11 进 了 房 子 ， 看 见 小 孩 子 和 他 母 亲 马 利 亚 ， 就 俯 伏 拜 那 小 孩 子 ， 揭 开 宝 盒 ， 拿 黄 金 、 乳 香 、 没 药 为 礼 物 献 给 他 。
12 博 士 因 为 在 梦 中 被 主 指 示 不 要 回 去 见 希 律 ， 就 从 别 的 路 回 本 地 去 了 。
13 他 们 去 後 ， 有 主 的 使 者 向 约 瑟 梦 中 显 现 ， 说 ： 起 来 ！ 带 着 小 孩 子 同 他 母 亲 逃 往 埃 及 ， 住 在 那 里 ， 等 我 吩 咐 你 ； 因 为 希 律 必 寻 找 小 孩 子 ， 要 除 灭 他 。
14 约 瑟 就 起 来 ， 夜 间 带 着 小 孩 子 和 他 母 亲 往 埃 及 去 ，
15 住 在 那 里 ， 直 到 希 律 死 了 。 这 是 要 应 验 主 藉 先 知 所 说 的 话 ， 说 ： 我 从 埃 及 召 出 我 的 儿 子 来 。
16 希 律 见 自 己 被 博 士 愚 弄 ， 就 大 大 发 怒 ， 差 人 将 伯 利 恒 城 里 并 四 境 所 有 的 男 孩 ， 照 着 他 向 博 士 仔 细 查 问 的 时 候 ， 凡 两 岁 以 里 的 ， 都 杀 尽 了 。
17 这 就 应 了 先 知 耶 利 米 的 话 ， 说 ：
18 在 拉 玛 听 见 号 啕 大 哭 的 声 音 ， 是 拉 结 哭 他 儿 女 ， 不 肯 受 安 慰 ， 因 为 他 们 都 不 在 了 。
19 希 律 死 了 以 後 ， 有 主 的 使 者 在 埃 及 向 约 瑟 梦 中 显 现 ， 说 ：
20 起 来 ！ 带 着 小 孩 子 和 他 母 亲 往 以 色 列 地 去 ， 因 为 要 害 小 孩 子 性 命 的 人 已 经 死 了 。
21 约 瑟 就 起 来 ， 把 小 孩 子 和 他 母 亲 带 到 以 色 列 地 去 ；
22 只 因 听 见 亚 基 老 接 着 他 父 亲 希 律 作 了 犹 太 王 ， 就 怕 往 那 里 去 ， 又 在 梦 中 被 主 指 示 ， 便 往 加 利 利 境 内 去 了 ，
23 到 了 一 座 城 ， 名 叫 拿 撒 勒 ， 就 住 在 那 里 。 这 是 要 应 验 先 知 所 说 ， 他 将 称 为 拿 撒 勒 人 的 话 了 。

Visitors from the East
2 Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men[a] from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, 2 “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose,[b] and we have come to worship him.”
3 King Herod was deeply disturbed when he heard this, as was everyone in Jerusalem. 4 He called a meeting of the leading priests and teachers of religious law and asked, “Where is the Messiah supposed to be born?”
5 “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they said, “for this is what the prophet wrote:
6 ‘And you, O Bethlehem in the land of Judah,
are not least among the ruling cities[c] of Judah,
for a ruler will come from you
who will be the shepherd for my people Israel.’[d]”
7 Then Herod called for a private meeting with the wise men, and he learned from them the time when the star first appeared. 8 Then he told them, “Go to Bethlehem and search carefully for the child. And when you find him, come back and tell me so that I can go and worship him, too!”
9 After this interview the wise men went their way. And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were filled with joy! 11 They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12 When it was time to leave, they returned to their own country by another route, for God had warned them in a dream not to return to Herod.
The Escape to Egypt
13 After the wise men were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up! Flee to Egypt with the child and his mother,” the angel said. “Stay there until I tell you to return, because Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”
14 That night Joseph left for Egypt with the child and Mary, his mother, 15 and they stayed there until Herod’s death. This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: “I called my Son out of Egypt.”[e]
16 Herod was furious when he realized that the wise men had outwitted him. He sent soldiers to kill all the boys in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, based on the wise men’s report of the star’s first appearance. 17 Herod’s brutal action fulfilled what God had spoken through the prophet Jeremiah:
18 “A cry was heard in Ramah—
weeping and great mourning.
Rachel weeps for her children,
refusing to be comforted,
for they are dead.”[f]
The Return to Nazareth
19 When Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt. 20 “Get up!” the angel said. “Take the child and his mother back to the land of Israel, because those who were trying to kill the child are dead.”
21 So Joseph got up and returned to the land of Israel with Jesus and his mother. 22 But when he learned that the new ruler of Judea was Herod’s son Archelaus, he was afraid to go there. Then, after being warned in a dream, he left for the region of Galilee. 23 So the family went and lived in a town called Nazareth. This fulfilled what the prophets had said: “He will be called a Nazarene.”

2 وَبَعْدَمَا وُلِدَ يَسُوعُ فِي بَيْتِ لَحْمٍ الْوَاقِعَةِ فِي مِنْطَقَةِ الْيَهُودِيَّةِ فِي عَهْدِ الْمَلِكِ هِيرُودُسَ، جَاءَ إِلَى أُورُشَلِيمَ بَعْضُ الْمَجُوسِ الْقَادِمِينَ مِنَ الشَّرْقِ، 2 يَسْأَلُونَ: «أَيْنَ هُوَ الْمَوْلُودُ مَلِكُ الْيَهُودِ؟ فَقَدْ رَأَيْنَا نَجْمَهُ طَالِعاً فِي الشَّرْقِ، فَجِئْنَا لِنَسْجُدَ لَهُ». 3 وَلَمَّا سَمِعَ الْمَلِكُ هِيرُودُسُ بِذلِكَ، اضْطَرَبَ وَاضْطَرَبَتْ مَعَهُ أُورُشَلِيمُ كُلُّهَا. 4 فَجَمَعَ إِلَيْهِ رُؤَسَاءَ كَهَنَةِ الْيَهُودِ وَكَتَبَتَهُمْ جَمِيعاً، وَسَأَلَهُمْ: «أَيْنَ يُوْلَدُ الْمَسِيحُ». 5 فَأَجَابُوهُ: «فِي بَيْتِ لَحْمٍ بِالْيَهُودِيَّةِ، فَقَدْ جَاءَ فِي الْكِتَابِ عَلَى لِسَانِ النَّبِيِّ: 6 وَأَنْتِ يَا بَيْتَ لَحْمٍ بِأَرْضِ يَهُوذَا، لَسْتِ صَغِيرَةَ الشَّأْنِ أَبَداً بَيْنَ حُكَّامِ يَهُوذَا، لأَنَّهُ مِنْكِ يَطْلُعُ الْحَاكِمُ الَّذِي يَرْعَى شَعْبِي إِسْرَائِيلَ!»
7 فَاسْتَدْعَى هِيرُودُسُ الْمَجُوسَ سِرّاً، وَتَحَقَّقَ مِنْهُمْ زَمَنَ ظُهُورِ النَّجْمِ. 8 ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَهُمْ إِلَى بَيْتِ لَحْمٍ، وَقَالَ: «اذْهَبُوا وَابْحَثُوا جَيِّداً عَنِ الصَّبِيِّ. وَعِنْدَمَا تَجِدُونَهُ أَخْبِرُونِي، لأَذْهَبَ أَنَا أَيْضاً وَأَسْجُدَ لَهُ». 9 فَلَمَّا سَمِعُوا مَا قَالَهُ الْمَلِكُ، مَضَوْا فِي سَبِيلِهِمْ. وَإذَا النَّجْمُ، الَّذِي سَبَقَ أَنْ رَأَوْهُ فِي الشَّرْقِ، يَتَقَدَّمُهُمْ حَتَّى جَاءَ وَتَوَقَّفَ فَوْقَ الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي كَانَ الصَّبِيُّ فِيهِ. 10 فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا النَّجْمَ فَرِحُوا فَرَحاً عَظِيماً جِدّاً؛ 11 وَدَخَلُوا الْبَيْتَ فَوَجَدُوا الصَّبِيَّ مَعَ أُمِّهِ مَرْيَمَ. فَجَثَوْا وَسَجَدُوا لَهُ، ثُمَّ فَتَحُوا كُنُوزَهُمْ وَقَدَّمُوا لَهُ هَدَايَا، ذَهَباً وَبَخُوراً وَمُرّاً. 12 ثُمَّ أُوْحِيَ إِلَيْهِمْ فِي حُلْمٍ أَلّا يَرْجِعُوا إِلَى هِيرُودُسَ، فَانْصَرَفُوا إِلَى بِلادِهِمْ فِي طَرِيقٍ أُخْرَى.

13 وَبَعْدَمَا انْصَرَفَ الْمَجُوسُ، إِذَا مَلاكٌ مِنَ الرَّبِّ قَدْ ظَهَرَ لِيُوسُفَ فِي حُلْمٍ، وَقَالَ لَهُ: «قُمْ وَاهْرُبْ بِالصَّبِيِّ وَأُمِّهِ إِلَى مِصْرَ، وَابْقَ فِيهَا إِلَى أَنْ آمُرَكَ بِالرُّجُوعِ، فَإِنَّ هِيرُودُسَ سَيَبْحَثُ عَنِ الصَّبِيِّ لِيَقْتُلَهُ». 14 فَقَامَ يُوسُفُ فِي تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ، وَهَرَبَ بِالصَّبِيِّ وَأُمِّهِ مُنْطَلِقاً إِلَى مِصْرَ، 15 وَبَقِيَ فِيهَا إِلَى أَنْ مَاتَ هِيرُودُسُ، لِيَتِمَّ مَا قَالَهُ الرَّبُّ بِلِسَانِ النَّبِيِّ الْقَائِلِ: «مِنْ مِصْرَ دَعَوْتُ ابْنِي».
16 وَعِنْدَمَا أَدْرَكَ هِيرُودُسُ أَنَّ الْمَجُوسَ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُ، اسْتَوْلَى عَلَيْهِ الْغَضَبُ الشَّدِيدُ، فَأَرْسَلَ وَقَتَلَ جَمِيعَ الصِّبْيَانِ فِي بَيْتِ لَحْمٍ وَجُوَارِهَا، مِنِ ابْنِ سَنَتَيْنِ فَمَا دُونَ، بِحَسَبِ زَمَنِ ظُهُورِ النَّجْمِ كَمَا تَحَقَّقَهُ مِنَ الْمَجُوسِ. 17 عِنْدَئِذٍ تَمَّ مَا قِيلَ بِلِسَانِ النَّبِيِّ إِرْمِيَا الْقَائِلِ: 18 «صُرَاخٌ سُمِعَ مِنَ الرَّامَةِ: بُكَاءٌ وَنَحِيبٌ شَدِيدٌ! رَاحِيلُ تَبْكِي عَلَى أَوْلادِهَا، وَلَا تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَتَعَزَّى، لأَنَّهُمْ قَدْ رَحَلُوا!»

19 لَمَّا مَاتَ هِيرُودُسُ، إِذَا مَلاكٌ مِنَ الرَّبِّ قَدْ ظَهَرَ فِي حُلْمٍ لِيُوسُفَ فِي مِصْرَ، 20 وَقَالَ لَهُ: «قُمِ ارْجِعْ بِالصَّبِيِّ وَأُمِّهِ إِلَى أَرْضِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، فَقَدْ مَاتَ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا يَسْعَوْنَ إِلَى قَتْلِهِ!» 21 فَقَامَ وَرَجَعَ بِالصَّبِيِّ وَأُمِّهِ إِلَى أَرْضِ إِسْرَائِيلَ. 22 وَلكِنَّهُ حِينَ سَمِعَ أَنَّ أَرْخِيلاوُسَ يَمْلِكُ عَلَى مِنْطَقَةِ الْيَهُودِيَّةِ خَلَفاً لأَبِيهِ هِيرُودُسَ، خَافَ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ إِلَى هُنَاكَ. وَإِذْ أُوْحِيَ إِلَيْهِ فِي حُلْمٍ، تَوَجَّهَ إِلَى نَوَاحِي مِنْطَقَةِ الْجَلِيلِ، 23 فَوَصَلَ بَلْدَةً تُسَمَّى «النَّاصِرَةَ» وَسَكَنَ فِيهَا، لِيَتِمَّ مَا قِيلَ بِلِسانِ الأَنْبِيَاءِ إِنَّهُ سَيُدْعَى نَاصِرِيًّا!

La visita de los magos
2 Cuando Jesús nació en Belén de Judea en días del rey Herodes, vinieron del oriente a Jerusalén unos magos, 2 diciendo: ¿Dónde está el rey de los judíos, que ha nacido? Porque su estrella hemos visto en el oriente, y venimos a adorarle. 3 Oyendo esto, el rey Herodes se turbó, y toda Jerusalén con él. 4 Y convocados todos los principales sacerdotes, y los escribas del pueblo, les preguntó dónde había de nacer el Cristo. 5 Ellos le dijeron: En Belén de Judea; porque así está escrito por el profeta:
6 Y tú, Belén, de la tierra de Judá,
No eres la más pequeña entre los príncipes de Judá;
Porque de ti saldrá un guiador,
7 Entonces Herodes, llamando en secreto a los magos, indagó de ellos diligentemente el tiempo de la aparición de la estrella; 8 y enviándolos a Belén, dijo: Id allá y averiguad con diligencia acerca del niño; y cuando le halléis, hacédmelo saber, para que yo también vaya y le adore. 9 Ellos, habiendo oído al rey, se fueron; y he aquí la estrella que habían visto en el oriente iba delante de ellos, hasta que llegando, se detuvo sobre donde estaba el niño. 10 Y al ver la estrella, se regocijaron con muy grande gozo. 11 Y al entrar en la casa, vieron al niño con su madre María, y postrándose, lo adoraron; y abriendo sus tesoros, le ofrecieron presentes: oro, incienso y mirra. 12 Pero siendo avisados por revelación en sueños que no volviesen a Herodes, regresaron a su tierra por otro camino.
Matanza de los niños
13 Después que partieron ellos, he aquí un ángel del Señor apareció en sueños a José y dijo: Levántate y toma al niño y a su madre, y huye a Egipto, y permanece allá hasta que yo te diga; porque acontecerá que Herodes buscará al niño para matarlo. 14 Y él, despertando, tomó de noche al niño y a su madre, y se fue a Egipto, 15 y estuvo allá hasta la muerte de Herodes; para que se cumpliese lo que dijo el Señor por medio del profeta, cuando dijo: De Egipto llamé a mi Hijo.(B)
16 Herodes entonces, cuando se vio burlado por los magos, se enojó mucho, y mandó matar a todos los niños menores de dos años que había en Belén y en todos sus alrededores, conforme al tiempo que había inquirido de los magos. 17 Entonces se cumplió lo que fue dicho por el profeta Jeremías, cuando dijo:
18 Voz fue oída en Ramá,
Grande lamentación, lloro y gemido;
Raquel que llora a sus hijos,
Y no quiso ser consolada, porque perecieron.(C)
19 Pero después de muerto Herodes, he aquí un ángel del Señor apareció en sueños a José en Egipto, 20 diciendo: Levántate, toma al niño y a su madre, y vete a tierra de Israel, porque han muerto los que procuraban la muerte del niño. 21 Entonces él se levantó, y tomó al niño y a su madre, y vino a tierra de Israel. 22 Pero oyendo que Arquelao reinaba en Judea en lugar de Herodes su padre, tuvo temor de ir allá; pero avisado por revelación en sueños, se fue a la región de Galilea, 23 y vino y habitó en la ciudad que se llama Nazaret,(D) para que se cumpliese lo que fue dicho por los profetas, que habría de ser llamado nazareno.(E)

2 Jésus étant né à Bethléhem en Judée, au temps du roi Hérode, voici des mages d'Orient arrivèrent à Jérusalem,
2 et dirent: Où est le roi des Juifs qui vient de naître? car nous avons vu son étoile en Orient, et nous sommes venus pour l'adorer.
3 Le roi Hérode, ayant appris cela, fut troublé, et tout Jérusalem avec lui.
4 Il assembla tous les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes du peuple, et il s'informa auprès d'eux où devait naître le Christ.
5 Ils lui dirent: A Bethléhem en Judée; car voici ce qui a été écrit par le prophète:
6 Et toi, Bethléhem, terre de Juda, Tu n'es certes pas la moindre entre les principales villes de Juda, Car de toi sortira un chef Qui paîtra Israël, mon peuple.
7 Alors Hérode fit appeler en secret les mages, et s'enquit soigneusement auprès d'eux depuis combien de temps l'étoile brillait.
8 Puis il les envoya à Bethléhem, en disant: Allez, et prenez des informations exactes sur le petit enfant; quand vous l'aurez trouvé, faites-le-moi savoir, afin que j'aille aussi moi-même l'adorer.
9 Après avoir entendu le roi, ils partirent. Et voici, l'étoile qu'ils avaient vue en Orient marchait devant eux jusqu'à ce qu'étant arrivée au-dessus du lieu où était le petit enfant, elle s'arrêta.
10 Quand ils aperçurent l'étoile, ils furent saisis d'une très grande joie.
11 Ils entrèrent dans la maison, virent le petit enfant avec Marie, sa mère, se prosternèrent et l'adorèrent; ils ouvrirent ensuite leurs trésors, et lui offrirent en présent de l'or, de l'encens et de la myrrhe.
12 Puis, divinement avertis en songe de ne pas retourner vers Hérode, ils regagnèrent leur pays par un autre chemin.
13 Lorsqu'ils furent partis, voici, un ange du Seigneur apparut en songe à Joseph, et dit: Lève-toi, prends le petit enfant et sa mère, fuis en Égypte, et restes-y jusqu'à ce que je te parle; car Hérode cherchera le petit enfant pour le faire périr.
14 Joseph se leva, prit de nuit le petit enfant et sa mère, et se retira en Égypte.
15 Il y resta jusqu'à la mort d'Hérode, afin que s'accomplît ce que le Seigneur avait annoncé par le prophète: J'ai appelé mon fils hors d'Égypte.
16 Alors Hérode, voyant qu'il avait été joué par les mages, se mit dans une grande colère, et il envoya tuer tous les enfants de deux ans et au-dessous qui étaient à Bethléhem et dans tout son territoire, selon la date dont il s'était soigneusement enquis auprès des mages.
17 Alors s'accomplit ce qui avait été annoncé par Jérémie, le prophète:
18 On a entendu des cris à Rama, Des pleurs et de grandes lamentations: Rachel pleure ses enfants, Et n'a pas voulu être consolée, Parce qu'ils ne sont plus.
19 Quand Hérode fut mort, voici, un ange du Seigneur apparut en songe à Joseph, en Égypte,
20 et dit: Lève-toi, prends le petit enfant et sa mère, et va dans le pays d'Israël, car ceux qui en voulaient à la vie du petit enfant sont morts.
21 Joseph se leva, prit le petit enfant et sa mère, et alla dans le pays d'Israël.
22 Mais, ayant appris qu'Archélaüs régnait sur la Judée à la place d'Hérode, son père, il craignit de s'y rendre; et, divinement averti en songe, il se retira dans le territoire de la Galilée,
23 et vint demeurer dans une ville appelée Nazareth, afin que s'accomplît ce qui avait été annoncé par les prophètes: Il sera appelé Nazaréen.
