¹Give thanks^(A) to the Lord, for he is good.^(B)
His love endures forever.^(C)

136 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

²⁵And this is what he promised us—eternal life.^(A)

²⁵And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

²¹keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait^(A) for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.^(B)
