4 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

4 [a]“Surely the day is coming;(A) it will burn like a furnace.(B) All the arrogant(C) and every evildoer will be stubble,(D) and the day that is coming will set them on fire,(E)” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch(F) will be left to them. 2 But for you who revere my name,(G) the sun of righteousness(H) will rise with healing(I) in its rays. And you will go out and frolic(J) like well-fed calves. 3 Then you will trample(K) on the wicked; they will be ashes(L) under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty.
4 “Remember the law(M) of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb(N) for all Israel.(O)
5 “See, I will send the prophet Elijah(P) to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes.(Q) 6 He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children,(R) and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike(S) the land with total destruction.”(T)

2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

2 But exclude the outer court;(A) do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles.(B) They will trample on the holy city(C) for 42 months.(D) 3 And I will appoint my two witnesses,(E) and they will prophesy for 1,260 days,(F) clothed in sackcloth.”(G) 4 They are “the two olive trees”(H) and the two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.”[a](I) 5 If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies.(J) This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die.(K) 6 They have power to shut up the heavens(L) so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying;(M) and they have power to turn the waters into blood(N) and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.
