14 Then God said, “Let there be (A)lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and (B)seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 Then God made two great [a]lights: the (C)greater light to rule the day, and the (D)lesser light to rule the night. He made (E)the stars also.

14 And God said, “Let there be lights(A) in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night,(B) and let them serve as signs(C) to mark sacred times,(D) and days and years,(E) 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so.(F) 16 God made two great lights—the greater light(G) to govern(H) the day and the lesser light to govern(I) the night.(J) He also made the stars.(K)
