The Seventh Trumpet

¹⁵Then ^(A)the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and ^(B)there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ^(C)“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of ^(D)his Christ, and ^(E)he shall reign forever and ever.” ¹⁶And the twenty-four elders ^(F)who sit on their thrones before God ^(G)fell on their faces and worshiped God, ¹⁷saying,

“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
    ^(H)who is and who was,
for you have taken your great power
    and ^(I)begun to reign.
¹⁸The nations raged,
    but ^(J)your wrath came,
    and ^(K)the time for the dead to be judged,
and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints,
    and ^(L)those who fear your name,
    both small and great,
and ^(M)for destroying the destroyers of the earth.”

¹⁹Then ^(N)God's temple in heaven was opened, and ^(O)the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings,^[a] peals of thunder, an earthquake, and ^(P)heavy hail.

The Woman and the Dragon

12 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman ^(Q)clothed with ^(R)the sun, with ^(S)the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. ²She was pregnant and ^(T)was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth. ³And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great ^(U)red dragon, ^(V)with seven heads and ^(W)ten horns, and on his heads ^(X)seven diadems. ⁴His tail swept down ^(Y)a third of the stars of heaven and ^(Z)cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child ^(AA)he might devour it. ⁵She gave birth to a male child, ^(AB)one who is to rule^[b] all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was ^(AC)caught up to God and to his throne, ⁶and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for ^(AD)1,260 days.
