Psalm 116:1-2
New International Version
Psalm 116
Psalm 116:12-19
New International Version
12 What shall I return to the Lord
for all his goodness(A) to me?
13 I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call on the name(B) of the Lord.
14 I will fulfill my vows(C) to the Lord
in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight(D) of the Lord
is the death of his faithful servants.(E)
16 Truly I am your servant, Lord;(F)
I serve you just as my mother did;(G)
you have freed me from my chains.(H)
17 I will sacrifice a thank offering(I) to you
and call on the name of the Lord.
18 I will fulfill my vows(J) to the Lord
in the presence of all his people,
19 in the courts(K) of the house of the Lord—
in your midst, Jerusalem.(L)
Praise the Lord.[a]

New International Version
Isaac and Rebekah
24 Abraham was now very old,(A) and the Lord had blessed(B) him in every way.(C) 2 He said to the senior servant(D) in his household, the one in charge of all that he had,(E) “Put your hand under my thigh.(F) 3 I want you to swear(G) by the Lord, the God of heaven(H) and the God of earth,(I) that you will not get a wife for my son(J) from the daughters of the Canaanites,(K) among whom I am living,(L) 4 but will go to my country and my own relatives(M) and get a wife for my son Isaac.(N)”
5 The servant asked him, “What if the woman is unwilling to come back with me to this land?(O) Shall I then take your son back to the country you came from?(P)”
6 “Make sure that you do not take my son back there,”(Q) Abraham said. 7 “The Lord, the God of heaven,(R) who brought me out of my father’s household and my native land(S) and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying, ‘To your offspring[a](T) I will give this land’(U)—he will send his angel before you(V) so that you can get a wife for my son from there. 8 If the woman is unwilling to come back with you, then you will be released from this oath(W) of mine. Only do not take my son back there.”(X) 9 So the servant put his hand under the thigh(Y) of his master(Z) Abraham and swore an oath to him concerning this matter.

Acts 7:35-43
New International Version
35 “This is the same Moses they had rejected with the words, ‘Who made you ruler and judge?’(A) He was sent to be their ruler and deliverer by God himself, through the angel who appeared to him in the bush. 36 He led them out of Egypt(B) and performed wonders and signs(C) in Egypt, at the Red Sea(D) and for forty years in the wilderness.(E)
37 “This is the Moses who told the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your own people.’[a](F) 38 He was in the assembly in the wilderness, with the angel(G) who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors;(H) and he received living words(I) to pass on to us.(J)
39 “But our ancestors refused to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt.(K) 40 They told Aaron, ‘Make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who led us out of Egypt—we don’t know what has happened to him!’[b](L) 41 That was the time they made an idol in the form of a calf. They brought sacrifices to it and reveled in what their own hands had made.(M) 42 But God turned away from them(N) and gave them over to the worship of the sun, moon and stars.(O) This agrees with what is written in the book of the prophets:
