Hosea 11:3-5
Lexham English Bible
3 And I myself taught Ephraim to walk;
I took them[a] in my[b] arms,
but they did not know that I healed them.
4 I drew them with human ties,[c]
with the bands of love.
I was to them like one who lifted up[d] a yoke on their jaws,[e]
though I bent down to them[f] and let them[g] eat.
5 He will return[h] to the land of Egypt,
and Assyria will be his king,[i]
because they refused to return.
