19:1–14 Ezekiel presents another allegory in the kind of Hebrew poetry ordinarily used for funeral dirges and laments. This kind of poetry in Hebrew has a particular meter that Ezekiel’s audience would recognize. The same rhythm is used in 26:17, 18; 27:12–19; 28:12–19; 32:2–8.
