    “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.
  2. The Believers Share Their Possessions

    All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.

  12. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

  14. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
  15. “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?”
  16. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
  17. One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.
  18. Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.
  19. May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,
  20. so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  21. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.
  22. A Church Divided Over Leaders

    I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.
  23. However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him—
  24. for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
  25. But the man who has settled the matter in his own mind, who is under no compulsion but has control over his own will, and who has made up his mind not to marry the virgin—this man also does the right thing.
