    As they were enjoying themselves, suddenly certain men of the city, perverted men, surrounded the house and beat on the door. They spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying, “Bring out the man who came to your house, that we may know him carnally!
  9. Now therefore, deliver up the men, the perverted men who are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death and remove the evil from Israel!” But the children of Benjamin would not listen to the voice of their brethren, the children of Israel.
  10. But his sons did not walk in his ways; they turned aside after dishonest gain, took bribes, and perverted justice.
  11. And there were also perverted persons in the land. They did according to all the abominations of the nations which the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
  12. And he banished the perverted persons from the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
  13. And the rest of the perverted persons, who remained in the days of his father Asa, he banished from the land.
  14. Then he tore down the ritual booths of the perverted persons that were in the house of the Lord, where the women wove hangings for the wooden image.
  15. Does God subvert judgment? Or does the Almighty pervert justice?
  16. Then he looks at men and says, ‘I have sinned, and perverted what was right, And it did not profit me.’
  17. Surely God will never do wickedly, Nor will the Almighty pervert justice.
