⁷ In that day shall men look unto their Maker, and their eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.

¹³ For thus shall it be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, as the ^[a]shaking of an olive-tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.

¹⁴ These shall lift up their voice, they shall shout; for the majesty of Jehovah they cry aloud from the sea. ¹⁵ Wherefore glorify ye Jehovah in the ^[b]east, even the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel, in the ^[c]isles of the sea.

¹⁴ Like as many were astonished at thee (his visage was so marred ^[a]more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men), ¹⁵ so shall he ^[b]sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths ^[c]at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they ^[d]understand.

¹⁹ So shall they fear the name of Jehovah from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; ^[a]for he will come as ^[b]a rushing stream, which the breath of Jehovah driveth.

² For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but Jehovah will arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. ³ And nations shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

⁴ Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: they all gather themselves together, they come to thee; thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be ^[a]carried in the arms.

¹⁸ Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, desolation nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.

¹⁶ The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; they shall lay their hand upon their mouth; their ears shall be deaf. ¹⁷ They shall lick the dust like a serpent; like crawling things of the earth they shall come trembling out of their close places; they shall come with fear unto Jehovah our God, and shall be afraid because of thee.

¹¹ In that day shalt thou not be put to shame for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me; for then I will take away out of the midst of thee ^[a]thy proudly exulting ones, and thou shalt no more be haughty in my holy mountain.

¹⁵ Jehovah hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the King of Israel, even Jehovah, is in the midst of thee; thou shalt not ^[a]fear evil any more.

20 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain ^[a]in his hand. ² And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, ³ and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be finished: after this he must be loosed for a little time.
