Psalm 104:1-9
New American Standard Bible
The Lord’s Care over All His Works.
104 (A)Bless the Lord, my soul!
Lord my God, You are very great;
You are (B)clothed with splendor and majesty,
2 Covering Yourself with (C)light as with a cloak,
(D)Stretching out heaven like a tent curtain.
3 [a]He (E)lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters;
[b]He makes the (F)clouds His chariot;
[c]He walks on the (G)wings of the wind;
4 [d]He makes [e](H)the winds His messengers,
[f]Flaming (I)fire His ministers.
5 He (J)established the earth upon its foundations,
So that it will not [g]totter forever and ever.
6 You (K)covered it with the deep sea as with a garment;
The waters were standing above the mountains.
7 They fled from Your (L)rebuke,
At the (M)sound of Your thunder they hurried away.
8 The mountains rose; the valleys sank down
To the (N)place which You established for them.
9 You set a (O)boundary so that they will not pass over,
So that they will not return to cover the earth.

The Flood Subsides
8 But (A)God remembered Noah and all the animals and all the livestock that were with him in the ark; and (B)God caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided. 2 Also (C)the fountains of the deep and the [a]floodgates of the sky were closed, and (D)the rain from the sky was restrained; 3 and the water receded steadily from the earth, and at the end (E)of 150 days the water decreased. 4 Then in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, (F)the ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat. 5 And the water decreased steadily until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains became visible.
6 Then it came about at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the (G)window of the ark which he had made; 7 and he sent out a raven, and it [b]flew here and there until the water was dried up [c]from the earth. 8 Then he sent out a [d]dove, to see if the water was low on the [e]surface of the land; 9 but the dove found no resting place for the sole of its foot, so it returned to him in the ark, for the water was on the [f]surface of all the earth. Then he put out his hand and took it, and brought it into the ark to himself. 10 So he waited another seven days longer; and again he sent out the dove from the ark. 11 And the dove came to him in [g]the evening, and behold, in its [h]beak was a fresh olive leaf. So Noah knew that the water was low on the earth.

11 Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 12 “Son of man, (A)take up a song of mourning over the king of Tyre and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord God says:
“You [a]had the seal of [b]perfection,
Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 You were in (B)Eden, the garden of God;
(C)Every precious stone was your covering:
The (D)ruby, the topaz and the diamond;
The beryl, the onyx and the jasper;
The lapis lazuli, the turquoise and the emerald;
And the gold, the workmanship of your [c](E)settings and [d]sockets,
Was in you.
On the day that you were created
They were prepared.
14 You were the (F)anointed cherub who [e]covers,
And I placed you there.
You were on the holy (G)mountain of God;
You walked in the midst of the (H)stones of fire.
15 You were (I)blameless in your ways
From the day you were created
Until (J)unrighteousness was found in you.
16 By the (K)abundance of your trade
[f]You were internally (L)filled with violence,
And you sinned;
Therefore I have cast you as profane
From the mountain of God.
And I have destroyed you, you [g]covering cherub,
From the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Your heart was haughty because of your (M)beauty;
You (N)corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor.
I threw you to the ground;
I put you before (O)kings,
That they may see you.
