⁷ The Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “^(A)From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.”

^8 (A)Be of sober spirit, ^(B)be on the alert. Your adversary, ^(C)the devil, prowls around like a roaring ^(D)lion, seeking someone to devour.

⁵⁴ But when this ^[a]perishable puts on ^[b]the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written: “^(A)Death has been swallowed up in victory.

⁷ so that on the other hand, you should rather ^(A)forgive and comfort him, otherwise such a person might be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.

¹⁵ But if you ^(A)bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.

Bear One Another’s Burdens

6 ^(A)Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are ^(B)spiritual are to ^(C)restore such a person ^(D)in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well.

¹⁰ Then I heard ^(A)a loud voice in heaven, saying,

“Now the ^(B)salvation, and the power, and the ^(C)kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the ^(D)accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night.

^6 (A)Now there was a day when the ^[a](B)sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and ^[b]Satan also came among them. ⁷ The Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “^(C)From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.”
