¹⁶ nevertheless, knowing that ^(A)a person is not justified by works of ^[a]the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by ^(B)faith in Christ and not by works of ^[b]the Law; since ^(C)by works of ^[c]the Law no ^[d]flesh will be justified. ¹⁷ But if, while seeking to be justified in Christ, we ourselves have also been found ^(D)sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? ^[e](E)Far from it!

Faith Brings Righteousness

3 ^[a]You foolish ^(A)Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ ^(B)was publicly portrayed as crucified?

¹⁶ “For God so ^(A)loved the world, that He ^(B)gave His ^(C)only Son, so that everyone who ^(D)believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

⁴ But God, being ^(A)rich in mercy, because of ^(B)His great love with which He loved us, ⁵ even when we were ^(C)dead ^[a]in our wrongdoings, made us alive together ^[b]with Christ (^(D)by grace you have been saved), ⁶ and ^(E)raised us up with Him, and ^(F)seated us with Him in ^(G)the heavenly places in ^(H)Christ Jesus, ⁷ so that in the ages to come He might show the ^[c]boundless ^(I)riches of His grace in ^(J)kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. ⁸ For ^(K)by grace you have been saved ^(L)through faith; and ^[d]this is not of yourselves, it is ^(M)the gift of God;

⁶ Therefore, as you have received ^(A)Christ Jesus the Lord, so ^[a](B)walk in Him,

¹⁸ But we all, with unveiled faces, ^(A)looking as in a mirror at the ^(B)glory of the Lord, are being ^(C)transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from ^(D)the Lord, the Spirit.
