^24 (A)and are justified ^(B)by his grace as a gift, ^(C)through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

²⁰ No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, ²¹ fully convinced that ^(A)God was able to do what he had promised. ²² That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.” ²³ But ^(B)the words “it was counted to him” were not written for his sake alone, ²⁴ but for ours also. It will be counted to us ^(C)who believe in ^(D)him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, ^25 (E)who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised ^(F)for our justification.

Peace with God Through Faith

5 ^(A)Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, ^(B)we^[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not ^(A)like the transgression of Adam, ^(B)who was a type of ^(C)the one who was to come.

¹⁵ But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for ^(D)many. ¹⁶ And the free gift is not like the result of that one man's sin. For ^(E)the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought ^(F)justification. ¹⁷ For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness ^(G)reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ Therefore, as one trespass^[a] led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness^[b] leads to justification and life for ^(H)all men.

²⁸ And we know that for those who love God all things work together ^(A)for good,^[a] for ^(B)those who are called according to his purpose. ²⁹ For those whom he ^(C)foreknew he also ^(D)predestined ^(E)to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be ^(F)the firstborn among many brothers. ³⁰ And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also ^(G)justified, and those whom he justified he also ^(H)glorified.
