⁵ in view of your ^[a](A)participation in the ^(B)gospel ^(C)from the first day until now.

Sharing among Believers

³² And the ^[a]congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them ^[b]claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but ^(A)all things were common property to them.

¹³ For this is not for the relief of others and for your hardship, but by way of equality— ¹⁴ at this present time your abundance will serve as assistance for ^(A)their need, so that their abundance also may ^[a]serve as assistance for ^(B)your need, so that there may be equality; ¹⁵ as it is written: “^(C)The one who had gathered much did not have too much, and the one who had gathered little did not have too little.”

¹⁶ Therefore, ^(A)confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be ^(B)healed. ^(C)A ^[a]prayer of a righteous person, when it is ^[b]brought about, can accomplish much. ¹⁷ Elijah was ^(D)a man with a nature like ours, and ^(E)he prayed ^[c]earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for ^(F)three years and six months. ¹⁸ Then he ^(G)prayed again, and ^(H)the sky ^[d]poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.

¹⁹ My brothers and sisters, ^(I)if anyone among you strays from ^(J)the truth and someone turns him back, ²⁰ let him know that the one who has turned a sinner from the error of his way will ^(K)save his soul from death and ^(L)cover a multitude of sins.
