As Newborn Babes

2 Therefore, ^(A)rid yourselves of all ^[a]malice and all deceit and ^[b]hypocrisy and ^[c]envy and all ^[d](B)slander, ^2 (C)and like newborn babies, long for the ^[e](D)pure ^[f]milk of the word, so that by it you may ^(E)grow ^[g]in respect to salvation, ³ if you have ^(F)tasted ^[h](G)the kindness of the Lord.

⁹ For on the first day of the first month he began to go up from Babylon; and on the first of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem, ^(A)because the good hand of his God was upon him. ¹⁰ For Ezra had ^[a]firmly resolved to study the Law of the Lord and to practice it, and ^(B)to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel.

²⁵ But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, ^(A)the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but ^[a]an active doer, this person will be ^(B)blessed in ^[b]what he does.
