BETH-HOGLAH bĕth hŏg’ lə (בֵּ֣ית חָגְלָ֔ה; LXX Josh 15:6; 18:19 Βαιθαγλα; Josh 18:21 A Βηθαγλα; B Βαιθεγλιω; house of a partridge). One of fourteen cities assigned to the tribe of Benjamin (Josh 18:21) now identified with ’Ain Hajlah SE of Jericho. It was located in the Arabah on the S boundary of Benjamin (Josh 18:19) which is also the N boundary of Judah (Josh 15:6). The boundary began at the N end of the Dead Sea going W to Beth-hoglah then N to Beth-arabah.
