57 The righteous man perishes,
    and no one lays it to heart;
^(A)devout men are taken away,
    while no one understands.
For the righteous man is taken away from calamity;

^2 (A)The godly has perished from the earth,
    and ^(B)there is no one upright among mankind;
^(C)they all lie in wait for blood,
    and ^(D)each hunts the other with a net.
