    had not left us ^(B)a few survivors,
we should have been like ^(C)Sodom,
    and become like ^(D)Gomorrah.

¹¹ “I overthrew some of you,
    ^(A)as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah,
    and you were ^(B)as a brand^[a] plucked out of the burning;
^(C)yet you did not return to me,”
declares the Lord.
