Wisdom 19:13
In contrast, punishments rained down upon the sinners, but not before they were given a clear warning through violent thunder. It was right for them to suffer for their evil deeds and for their hatred of the immigrants in their midst.
For they exercised a more detestable inhospitality than any: others indeed received not strangers unknown to them, but these brought their guests into bondage that had deserved well of them.
But violent thunder gave warning of the punishment that was coming on those sinners. They suffered a well-deserved punishment for their great wickedness. No nation had ever hated strangers so bitterly.
And the punishments came upon the sinners not without forewarnings from the violence of the thunderbolts. For they justly suffered for their own misdeeds, since they treated their guests with the more grievous hatred.
The punishments did not come upon the sinners without prior signs in the violence of thunder, for they justly suffered because of their wicked acts; for they practiced a more bitter hatred of strangers.

and dis-eases came on (the) sinners, and not without provings of those things, that were done before by the fierceness of floods. For they suffered justly, by their wickednesses; for they ordained more abominable unhospitality. [and travails to sinners came upon, not without those evidences, that were made by the force of floods. Rightwisely forsooth they suffered, after their shrewdnesses (or depravities); forsooth into abominable hospitality they stood in.]
