Wisdom 16:1
Therefore, the enemies of your people deserved to be punished and tormented by swarms of the very same monsters.
For these things, and by the like things to these, they were worthily punished, and were destroyed by a multitude of beasts.
And so it was appropriate that these people were punished by such creatures—tormented by swarms of them.
Therefore they were fittingly punished by similar creatures, and were tormented by a swarm of insects.
Therefore those people were deservedly punished through such creatures, and were tormented by a multitude of animals.
