Wisdom 11:19
The damage that these beasts would have been able to do would have been more than enough to wipe out your enemies. Just the sight of them would have been enough to make them die from fear!
Or unknown beasts of a new kind, full of rage: either breathing out a fiery vapour, or sending forth a stinking smoke, or shooting horrible sparks out of their eyes:
You could have made animals like these that would not have to attack those people to kill them, but could scare them to death just by looking at them.
Not only could these attack and completely destroy them; even their frightful appearance itself could slay.
not only could the harm they did destroy people, but the mere sight of them could kill by fright.
not only could the harm they did destroy people, but the mere sight of them could kill by fright.
not only could the harm they did destroy people, but the mere sight of them could kill by fright.
not only could the harm they did destroy people, but the mere sight of them could kill by fright.
not only could their damage exterminate men, but the mere sight of them could kill by fright.
not only could their damage exterminate men, but the mere sight of them could kill by fright.
of which beasts not only the hurting might destroy them, but also the sight might slay by dread [or but and the looking by dread slay].
