an oppressive night lay all around them, and around them alone. It was a sign of the darkness that was going to receive them, but they were a heavier burden to themselves than even the darkness itself.
Only those people were covered by this heavy night, a foretaste of the darkness of death that was waiting for them. They were a burden to themselves that was even heavier than the darkness.
But over them alone was spread oppressive night, an image of the darkness that was about to come upon them. Yet they were more a burden to themselves than was the darkness.
But over them alone an oppressive darkness spread, a replica of the darkness that next awaited them; yet heavier than the darkness was the burden that they were to each other.
while over those people alone heavy night was spread, an image of the darkness that was destined to receive them; but still heavier than darkness were they to themselves.
while over those people alone heavy night was spread, an image of the darkness that was destined to receive them; but still heavier than darkness were they to themselves.
while over those people alone heavy night was spread, an image of the darkness that was destined to receive them; but still heavier than darkness were they to themselves.
while over those people alone heavy night was spread, an image of the darkness that was destined to receive them, but still heavier than darkness were they to themselves.
while over those men alone heavy night was spread, an image of the darkness that was destined to receive them; but still heavier than darkness were they to themselves.
while over those men alone heavy night was spread, an image of the darkness that was destined to receive them; but still heavier than darkness were they to themselves.
But a grievous night, the image of darknesses, that was to coming on them, was set on them alone; therefore they were grievouser to themselves than the darknesses. [Forsooth only to them was overset a grievous night, image of darknesses, that was to come onto, or unto, them; then they to themselves were more grievous than the darknesses.]
