Tobit 14:10
On the very day when you bury your mother beside me, don’t stay within its borders another night. I see that a lot of iniquity and deception are practiced here, and its people have no sense of shame. My child, take note of what Nadab did to Ahikar, who brought him up. Was he not, even while alive, brought down into the earth? God paid back the dishonorable thing that he did in his presence: Ahikar came back into the light, while Nadab entered into eternal darkness, because he sought to kill Ahikar. By giving to the poor, he escaped the death trap that Nadab laid down for him. Nadab fell into that death trap instead, and it destroyed him.
Hearken therefore, my children, to your father: serve the Lord in truth, and seek to do the things that please him:
Tobias, my son, leave Nineveh now. Do not stay here. As soon as you bury your mother beside me, leave; do not stay another night within the city limits. It is a wicked city and full of immorality; the people here have no sense of shame. Remember what Nadab did to Ahikar his own uncle who had brought him up. He tried to kill Ahikar and forced him to go into hiding in a tomb. Ahikar came back into the light of day, but God sent Nadab down into everlasting darkness for what he had done. Ahikar escaped the deadly trap which Nadab had set for him, because Ahikar had given generously to the poor. But Nadab fell into that fatal trap and it destroyed him.
The day you bury your mother next to me, do not even stay overnight within the confines of the city. For I see that there is much wickedness in it, and much treachery is practiced in it, and people are not ashamed. See, my son, all that Nadin did to Ahiqar, the very one who reared him. Was not Ahiqar brought down alive into the earth? Yet God made Nadin’s disgraceful crime rebound against him. Ahiqar came out again into the light, but Nadin went into the everlasting darkness, for he had tried to kill Ahiqar. Because Ahiqar had given alms he escaped from the deadly trap Nadin had set for him. But Nadin fell into the deadly trap himself, and it destroyed him.

But Ahi′kar was saved, and the other received repayment as he himself went down into the darkness. Ahi′kar gave alms and escaped the deathtrap which Nadab had set for him; but Nadab fell into the trap and perished.
Bury me properly, and your mother with me. And do not live in Nin′eveh any longer. See, my son, what Nadab did to Ahi′kar who had reared him, how he brought him from light into darkness, and with what he repaid him. But Ahi′kar was saved, and the other received repayment as he himself went down into the darkness. Ahi′kar gave alms and escaped the deathtrap which Nadab had set for him; but Nadab fell into the trap and perished.
Therefore, my sons, hear ye your father; serve ye the Lord in dread and in truth; and inquire ye to do those things that be pleasant to him. [Heareth then, my sons, your father; serveth to the Lord in dread and in truth; and inwardly seeketh, that ye do that (that) be pleasant to him.]
