Sirach 8:12
Don’t lend to people who are more powerful than you, but if you do lend, treat it as though it were lost.
For of them thou shalt learn understanding, and to give an answer in time of need.
You should not lend anything to someone more powerful than you. If you do, you might as well consider it lost.
Do not lend to one more powerful than yourself; or if you lend, count it as lost.
Do not lend to one who is stronger than you; but if you do lend anything, count it as a loss.
