Sirach 7:11
Don’t mock a person who is bitter in spirit; for there’s one who humbles and who exalts.
Say not: God will have respect to the multitude of my gifts, and when I offer to the most high God, he will accept my offerings.
Don't laugh at someone who has been humiliated. It is the Lord who humbles a person, but the Lord also raises him up again.
Do not ridicule the embittered; Remember: there is One who exalts and humbles.
Do not ridicule a person who is embittered in spirit, for there is One who humbles and exalts.

Do not ridicule a man who is bitter in soul, for there is One who abases and exalts.
Scorn thou not a man in the bitterness of (his) soul; for why God is the beholder, that maketh meek, and enhanceth (or exalteth). [Scorn thou not a man in the bitterness of soul; God forsooth the looker about is, that enhanceth and meeketh.]
