Solomon reigned at a time of peace. God gave him tranquillity on every side, so that he might build a house for God’s name and prepare a sanctuary that would last forever.
The Lord took away his sins, and exalted his horn for ever: and he gave him a covenant of the kingdom, and a throne of glory in Israel.
There was no war while Solomon was king. God gave him peace on all his borders, so that he could build for the Lord a Temple which would stand forever.
Solomon reigned during an era of peace, for God brought rest to all his borders. He built a house to the name of God, and established a lasting sanctuary.

Solomon reigned in the days of peace, to whom God made subject all (the) enemies, (so) that he should make an house in the name of God, and make ready holiness (or the sanctuary) without end, as he was learned in his youth.
