Sirach 37:2
Doesn’t the pain bring a person close to death when a companion and friend turns into an enemy?
But a companion and a friend shall be turned to an enemy.
The grief caused when a close friendship turns sour is as bad as death.
Is it not a sorrow unto death when your other self becomes your enemy?
Is it not a sorrow like that for death itself when a dear friend turns into an enemy?
Is it not a sorrow like that for death itself when a dear friend turns into an enemy?
Is it not a sorrow like that for death itself when a dear friend turns into an enemy?
Is it not a sorrow like that for death itself when a dear friend turns into an enemy?
Is it not a grief to the death when a companion and friend turns to enmity?
Is it not a grief to the death when a companion and friend turns to enmity?
Whether sorrow is not till to death? Forsooth a fellow of (the) table and a friend shall be turned to enmity. [Whether not sorrow is unto death? A meat-fellow forsooth a friend to enmity shall be turned.]
