Sirach 31:24
The city will murmur about those who are stingy with bread, giving accurate witness to the wickedness of such people.
Sound and wholesome sleep with a moderate man: he shall sleep till morning, and his soul shall be delighted with him.
But everybody in town will complain about a host who is stingy with food, and their complaints are justified.
The city complains about one who is stingy with food, and this testimony to his stinginess is lasting.
The man who is miserly with food is denounced universally, and the testimony to his stingy nature is substantial.
The city complains of someone who is stingy with food, and their testimony to his stinginess is accurate.
