Sirach 23:14
Remember your father and mother, because you sit in the council among officials. This way, you won’t forget yourself in front of them and act foolishly out of habit— then you’d wish that you hadn’t been born, and you’d curse the day of your birth.
And if he swear in vain, he shall not be justified: for his house shall be filled with his punishment.
You might forget yourself while in the company of important people and make a fool of yourself with some foul word that comes to you naturally. Think how your parents would feel! You would curse the day you were born and wish you were dead!
Keep your father and mother in mind when you sit among the mighty, Lest you forget yourself in their presence and disgrace your upbringing. Then you will wish you had never been born and will curse the day of your birth.
Remember your father and mother when you sit among the great, or you may forget yourself in their presence, and behave like a fool through bad habit; then you will wish that you had never been born, and you will curse the day of your birth.

Have thou mind (or Think upon) thy father and mother; for (or when) thou standest in the midst of great men. Lest peradventure God forget thee in the sight of them; and lest thou made a fool by thus customableness, suffer shame, either scorning [or and through thy busyness greatly made (a) fool, reproof thou suffer], and haddest rather to be not born, and curse the day of thy birth.
