He saw and knew that their end was terrible; therefore, his willingness to be reconciled increased.
The compassion of man is toward his neighbour: but the mercy of God is upon all flesh.
He looks at us and knows that we are doomed to die; that is why he is so willing to forgive us.
He sees and understands that their death is wretched, and so he forgives them all the more.
He sees and recognizes how wretched their end will be, and thus he is even more lavish with his compassion.
He sees and recognizes that their end is miserable; therefore he grants them forgiveness all the more.
He sees and recognizes that their end is miserable; therefore he grants them forgiveness all the more.
He sees and recognizes that their end is miserable; therefore he grants them forgiveness all the more.
He sees and recognizes that their end is miserable; therefore he grants his forgiveness all the more.
He sees and recognizes that their end will be evil; therefore he grants them forgiveness in abundance.
He sees and recognizes that their end will be evil; therefore he grants them forgiveness in abundance.
He saw the presumption, [or pride], of their heart, for it was evil; and he knew the destroying of them, for it was wicked, [or shrewd, (or depraved)]. Therefore he filled his mercy in them, and showed to them the way of equity.
