Help the needy for the commandment’s sake, and in proportion to their need don’t turn them away empty-handed.
And he will pay him with reproaches and curses, and instead of honour and good turn will repay him injuries.
The Lord has commanded us to help the poor; don't refuse them the help they need.
Because of the commandment, help the poor, and in their need, do not send them away empty-handed.
In obedience to the commandment, help the poor, and in their need do not send them away empty-handed.
Help the poor for the commandment’s sake, and in their need do not send them away empty-handed.
Help the poor for the commandment’s sake, and in their need do not send them away empty-handed.
Help the poor for the commandment’s sake, and in their need do not send them away empty-handed.
Help the poor for the commandment’s sake, and in their need do not send them away empty-handed.
Help a poor man for the commandment’s sake, and because of his need do not send him away empty.
Help a poor man for the commandment’s sake, and because of his need do not send him away empty.
For the commandment of God take (or receive) thou a poor man; and for his neediness leave thou not him void (or do not let him go away empty-handed). [Many, not because of shrewdness (or depravity), lend not, but to be beguiled willfully, they dreaded.]
